I hadn't planned to look for a dress on the day I found my perfect dress. I had been walking past the shop and noticed there was a sale on. It was about 15 minutes before closing time and my friend dragged me in. Almost immediately she pulled out this amazing dress. I tried it on but didn't instantly fall in love with it, I liked it but it didn't give me a wow feeling. I tried on another gown and then realised that the first one actually was the one, it just needed some straps adding. Lauren was amazing she knew exactly what i wanted and arranged with a seamstress to make the beautiful straps from a bolero which came with the dress.
I was very conscious of being an older bride and a few months before the wedding I began to doubt my choice (probably after watching far too many episodes of say yes to the dress) Lauren was very supportive and reassured me that that dress was meant for me. She made an appointment for me to go into the shop and try the whole thing on including veil and tiara. I finally had that wow feeling and fell totally in love with my dress.
I would recommend MiliMili to anyone, the staff there are so professional and attentive they really take the stress of buying a dress away from you.

I went to MiliMili Bridal when I already had a dress in mind from somewhere else. I was up front with Lauren about this but she still showed me around her beautiful boutique with patience and professionalism. She helped me in and out of the dresses making suggestions for accessories here and there which was excellent. My best friend and I walked past Mili Mili on the way to another bridal shop in Colchester and saw a stunning dress in the window. We popped in and met the owner Lauren and we arranged to go in after our other appointment. We returned later that afternoon and were blown away by the relaxed experience, at no time did I felt 'sold' too or rushed, it was a very personal, professional, fun and relaxing experience.
It was very different from what I had experienced myself prior to Mili Mili and when I have shopped with friends in the past. I am not a girly girl and actually not a massive fan of shopping, but Lauren could see I was overwhelmed by the choice and was extremely patient with me and took the time to explain the different styles to me in detail and understand what type of wedding I was having whilst we enjoyed delicious coffee and cakes. I felt in very safe hands from the moment our appointment started.
The designers that MiliMili stock are first class from the variety of styles through to the quality of the materials. I selected 3 beautiful dresses but had 'the one' in mind. I took my Sister, Auntie and a couple of friends back on another day (Lauren was extremely warm to my friends and family and accommodating to us going back) and they also selected 'the one' without knowing it was 'my one'.
Lauren's advice throughout was fantastic, she immediately understood my style and was able to help me try on dresses that suited my body shape and personality. The whole process from buying the dress, choosing my accessories, to the after-care (cleaned and beautiful packaged) was second to none.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend MiliMili to anyone, the very best bridal shopping experience I could have wished for. I love my 'Etta' dress designed by Charlotte Balbier and had so many compliments on the day and felt simply amazing. Our wedding was the most magical and amazing day of our lives and I would like to thank Lauren and MiliMili for being such an important part of making our day so very special. Thank you :-) xxx
